Boatright's Eligibility Under Review

Connecticut freshman guard Ryan Boatright did not play in Wednesday night's exhibition game against American International College. UConn has announced that Boatright's eligibility is being reviewed and he will be held out of competition until the joint review by UConn and the NCAA is complete. It is believed the matter is related to an AAU matter.

The exact reason for the review was not released by the school. UConn said it is not related to academics. Sources said the review is focused on Boatright's AAU associations. Boatright was on the bench in street clothes during the first exhibition game of the season for the defending national champions.
