Rodgers Has UConn on Short List

Rodgers could play center or guard

Khaliel Rodgers, Scout.com's No. 2 rated center in the Class of 2013, has narrowed his college choices to six schools - and UConn survived the cut.

Rodgers tweeted this Wednesday night: "No order - Auburn,Ole Miss,UCLA,Ohio State,West Virginia, uconn"

It's well known that Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer wants Rodgers badly. Rodgers is planning a visit to Auburn. He made unofficial visits to UCLA, USC and Maryland but you can see only one of those survived.

Rodgers is 6-3, 310, from Elkton Christian Academy in Elkton, MD. He could play center or offensive guard. He has been absolutely dominant in elite camp events. He is considered one of the strongest - if not the strongest - prospect in the class.

We hope to speak with Rodgers later today. Come back and check for the updated story.
