The Connecticut women’s basketball team will play Marquette and Notre Dame twice during the conference regular season in 2012-13. Matchups were announced Wednesday by the Big East.

Notre Dame is the defending regular season conference champion and has developed in UConn’s biggest Big East rival.

Again in 2012-13, Big East teams will play a 16-game regular season schedule and play two teams twice.

In addition to playing Marquette and Notre Dame twice, UConn (13-3 in Big East play last season) will play host to DePaul, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Seton Hall, Syracuse and Villanova. The Huskies will play Cincinnati, Georgetown, Providence, Rutgers, St. John’s and USF on the road.

Dates and times will be released at a later time.
