Memphis added to their 2013 recruiting class Tuesday morning.
Josh Pastner and his staff picked up four-star recruit Kuran Iverson. Iverson picked the Tigers over interest from Florida, Connecticut, Syracuse and others.
Waynesboro (Va.) Fishburne Military coach Ed Huckaby confirmed the news to Scout.com.
“He did,” Huckaby told Scout.com when asked if Iverson committed to Memphis.
Iverson, a 6-foot-8 combo forward, started his high school career at Hartford (Conn.) Northwest Catholic. He transferred to Fishburne for his senior season.
An impressive talent, Iverson is has the ability to play both on the perimeter and in the post. He’s skilled, has good range on his shot and is equipped with an impressive all around offensive package.
Iverson is Memphis’ fourth pledge for the 2013 class. He joins five-star recruit Nick King, top 100 prospect Rashawn Powell and local standout Markel Crawford to make up their current class.
Iverson is ranked No. 10 at the power forward position and No. 33 overall in the 2013 class.
