FSNextTV: Crushing Loss

Connecticut placekicker Chad Christen could have been the hero in regulation. He could have been the hero in overtime.

Instead, Christen missed field goal attempts both times and UConn lost 17-14 in overtime to Temple Saturday at Rentschler Field.

Until Saturday, Christen had been consistent and reliable. But in this game he was 0-for-4 on field goal attempts. The one in the fourth quarter was blocked. The one in OT sailed wide right.

"Just keep your head up," defensive tackle Ryan Wirth said when asked what anyone could say to Christen. "We're a team. I don't point fingers at anybody. That's not our style. That's not gonna get us anywhere."

The video below shows part of Christen's conversation with the media.
