Two still chasing UConn commit

Javon Hadley is a talented cornerback prospect from Miami Palmetto High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Javon Hadley made an early commitment to UConn and he talked about the season they had.

"UConn had an OK season," Hadley said. "They could have done a little better, but I think that the improvements will come soon and we'll have a great year next year."

Hadley, 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, likes his chances of playing right away next season.

"They say I have a good chance of playing right away. I have to get bigger in the summer, I'll probably play nickel as soon as I get there."

Hadley says he's been in close contact with Coach Pasqualoni lately.

I talk to the head coach a lot now ever since Coach Brown left. He's coming down to see me next week. He seems really cool."

Despite the commitment to the Huskies, Hadley says two other schools could get January visits.

"Tulane and Utah State still want me to go visit. I don't have any scheduled yet but possibly in the future."

The talented defender says his commitment is solid, however.

"My commitment is pretty solid right now. I'm still getting some offers though so we'll see what happens, but for now it's solid."
