"Ole Miss offered me today," said Walker. "I called Coach (Chris) Kiffin and he told me that he had watched my film today. He said he loved it and thought I would be a great three-technique player for them going against Alabama and LSU and other top programs. He said he wanted me to be a part of the Ole Miss family and help them compete for an SEC championship."
"It's pretty big for me because it's my first SEC offer. I was very excited. I'm definitely going to get down there, if not this spring, then this summer."
Walker will take a couple of trips in the near future.
"March 9, I'm going to North Carolina for their basketball game against Duke, so I'm looking forward to that," said the 6-foot-2, 275-pound Walker. "I also plan on going up to Penn State for spring practice."
Along with the Rebels, Walker holds offers from Boston College, Connecticut, Louisiana-Lafayette, Maryland, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Old Dominion, Penn State, and Virginia Tech. Walker also mentioned Tennessee as a school that could be close to offering.
"All the schools that have offered me are still recruiting me pretty hard," he said. "But North Carolina, Virginia Tech, ODU, Penn State, and Maryland have been recruiting me the hardest, though."
Although Walker has several options, he has not made any major decisions yet.
All of them are still equal," he said. "I would like to probably narrow it down to five schools before the season starts."
Walker said he will likely wait until after he takes his official visits to make his decision.
Despite missing three games due to injury last season, Walker still finished his junior season with 90 tackles and 11 sacks.
