Morgan looking to visit

Dwayne Morgan is one of the top players in the country for 2014 and Arizona is recruiting him as such. Read on to see where his recruitment is headed, where Arizona stands, and more.

Since arriving in Tucson, Sean Miller has made his imprint with many northeastern five-star players.

The next one on the list appears to be Baltimore St. Frances Academy 2014 small forward Dwayne Morgan, who has seen his stock increase even more as of late.

"Dwayne has a busy summer coming up," Dwayne Wise, Morgan's travel team coach said. "He's playing with the Baltimore AAU team this summer and he's going to be playing against some good competition, which he is really excited about.

"The other half of his summer is going to be dedicated to school. He's doing fine he just wants to get some credits and get a little bit of a leg up on everything."

Morgan will spend a lot of individual time working with Wise as well.

"Dwayne's got a lot of strengths," Wise said. "He is an athletic kid who can really get up and down the court and he can defend and we're trying to get him better on a regular basis. Right now we're working on his mid-post game and his ability to beat people off the bounce."

Wise is confident that Morgan will keep improving and although he is highly ranked, Morgan knows that there is room to get better.

"If he's able to get those down, he will really be able to cause problems for any player," Wise said. "The good thing about Dwayne is that he knows he is a talented guy, but at the same time he isn't taking anything for granted."

Considering that he is ranked as the third best small forward in the country, colleges will be following Morgan's every move this summer.

"Everybody that is recruiting Dwayne is recruiting him well," Wise said. "It's an honor for him because he has worked hard and schools like Maryland, Indiana, UNLV, Arizona, and Missouri are pursuing him and are all doing a really good job."

Arizona is somewhat new in the recruitment, but has already made an impression.

"Sean Miller is trying to get him and obviously everyone is interested in Arizona right now with the way they are playing and the kind of players they are bringing in," Wise said.

That interest has led to Wise and Morgan looking to eventually visit Arizona.

"They think his skills fit into the attacking style that they are trying to run," Wise said. "We're looking at trying to get out there soon and seeing what the program has to offer."
