Two Football Times Announced

The UConn football team will open the season with night games against Towson on Aug 29 and Maryland on Sept. 14.

The starting times for two 2013 Connecticut football games were announced by the American Athletic Conference on Friday. The Thursday, Aug. 29 game vs. Towson will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN3. The Saturday, Sept. 14 game against Maryland will also kickoff at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN3.

At this stage, no other starting times or TV plans have been released for the 12-game UConn schedule.

UConn plays seven home games in 2013, including the first three of the season. After Towson and Maryland, Michigan visits Rentschler Field in East Hartford. Michigan has received a preseason ranking of No. 14 in the nation from Athlon Sports.

The Huskies also play home conference games against USF, Louisville, Rutgers and Memphis.
