		By Matt Alkire Recruiting Analyst Date: Dec 22, 2007 Houston, Texas native Michael Smith had hoped that the Connecticut coaching staff would extend him an official offer on his official visit to Storrs, however he had to wait a bit longer then that. This week when he got the offer in the mail it didn’t take him long to get in touch with the Huskies and give them his verbal commitment.
