Scottie Haralson, a 6-foot-4 guard originally from Mississippi who had considered Minnesota, has transferred from Connecticut to Tulsa. Haralson will sit out the 2009-10 season and have three years of eligibility. The Gophers had recruited Haralson, but wound up signing Devoe Joseph. Minnesota landed Justin Cobbs this year, while the Huskies inked Darius Smith, who nearly committed to Minnesota. Full Story |

The NBA announced that 103 players, including 74 players from U.S. colleges and 29 international players have filed as early entry candidates for the 2009 NBA Draft. Players who have applied for early entry have the right to withdraw their names from consideration for the Draft by notifying the NBA of their decision by Monday, June 15.

Still, UConn Coach Randy wasn’t happy at the conclusion of its season opener with Hofstra. The Huskies turned over the ball five times, committed penalties that called back two touchdowns, and were flagged for a host of holding penalties.
