He will over-run a play from time-to-time, but he is athletic enough to recover and make the play. He takes good angles and is very good at read and recognition. |

| As a junior for Paterson Catholic, Alston registered 66 tackles, 12.5 sacks, forced and recovered a fumble and deflected three passes earning All-Area, All-League and All-County honors. |
